Little Charlie is already two years old! His birthday party was the day before our session and it turns out he loves to have people sing "happy birthday" to him. So mom, dad and older brother sang "happy birthday" to get those smiles going. And it even got a positive reaction for about a dozen times. It was pretty darn cute. Speaking of cute...

I absolutely love seeing this family every year. Before the session their mom emailed me with a warning of sorts that her boys "seemed to be getting wigglier with age, instead of calmer" and that Shea was also a wiggler. I told her I was up for a wiggly challenge. :) And I was excited the family was up for meeting on the U of MN St Paul campus. I've had that campus in the back of my mind for a while and had finally gotten over there to scope out some good spots. While there were plenty of wiggles, there were lots of giggles too. They are so silly and fun. Looking through this session makes me smile. Hope you enjoy some of my favorites...

Violet recently turned one and it was the perfect reason for another photo shoot. Wow, a year can go by so quickly. Besides being so dang cute, Violet has this awesome carefree happiness about her -- which is how it should be when you're one! :) But the best part is it's totally contagious. I hope that joy is captured here. I just love being around her! Here are some more of my favorites of Violet and her family...
