Whether you made it to your destination or are stranded at home because of this never-ending (annoying, but pretty) snow, I hope you have a safe and very merry Christmas!  I'm part of the stranded at home group.  But I have pumpkin pie, cheese pizza, diet coke, movies to watch, heat and two cats that will be more than happy to spend time on the couch today.  So we'll make the most of it and look forward to celebrating Christmas a little later this year. :)

It was so fun to see Addie again for a holiday mini session.  Amazing it has been a year already.  She's awesome to photograph.  Don't get me wrong, I love babies and toddlers, but 5-, 6-, 7-, 8-year-old kids are some of my favorite ages.  Maybe it's just that when kids get past, maybe 4 years, parents aren't thinking as much about yearly photos.  Come on... send them my way. :)

This morning out the kitchen window.  Not my usual subjects.  And I thought kids moved fast. ;)

I first met Julia a little over a year ago and after the session I thought "oh I hope I get to see her again".  The curls.  The smile.  The overall cuteness.  So I was excited to be invited back this year.  Julia now a year older and a big sister to little Claire.  Claire as sweet and pretty as her big sister.  Unfortunately, Claire was starting to come down with a cold the morning of our session, but I think she did her best.  I could see a happy, smiling baby inside there -- but it's hard when you're not feeling so well.  Next year we'll have sun and no colds. :)  Ok, onto the photos...

I took this back in October during some of this year's first snow.  I'm totally amused each year when the cats first see the snow and they are so intrigued by it.  Of course they quickly become bored with it, but it's fun for a few minutes!

I love this picture! My cats are too busy eating and sleeping to care much about the snow.
