"Most men lead lives of quiet desperation and go to the grave with the song still in them." - Henry David Thoreau
Sigh. What about your song? Are you living it? Sharing it? Embracing it?

Little Katelyn is two already. Two! Winters get long for many reasons. For me, one reason is that families typically just aren't thinking about photographs when it's below zero with 10 inches of snow on the ground. I totally understand that, but by February I'm missing the fun of being with and photographing kids and their families. So lucky for me, in recent winters, I've had Katelyn's February birthday to give me an opportunity to bring out the camera... and the puppets... and the whistles. On this chilly February day we found a warm spot indoors to play for a little bit.

Meet Gage. Gage is my mom's new puppy. Oh my, puppies have a lot of energy! Don't let his stillness in these images fool you. :)
