jenn - i can't stop laughing. i just had to post this right away. i started looking through your session and i seriously keep laughing out loud. your kids have so many expressions. and then i came to this one! i didn't see the "number 1" finger point while i was shooting. hilarious! i can't tell, was it the same one as last year? omg, i love your kids. :)

I have been given the opportunity to spend time this summer with so many amazing families. I not only get to witness, but I get to capture all their amazingness. And this family has a lot of amazing going on! :)

friday night i returned home from the most amazing, heart-filling week spent with 18 other artists from around the world. perhaps i'll write more about this experience later if i can find the words...
but barely 24 hours after getting home, my heart already at capacity, it was almost surreal that I was now at the minnesota zoo's outdoor amphitheater, on a beautiful night, to see brandi carlile. that voice. with such feeling. what a perfect conclusion to a perfect week. and she closed the show with "hallelujah". gets me every time. sigh.
