I'm always so amazed by how quickly a year goes by - it's hard to believe a year has passed since I met newborn Katelyn. She's such a sweet little girl and I've thoroughly enjoyed seeing her every few months over the past year. The weather never quite cooperated for us to pop outside for any of our sessions, so I've joked with her parents that when she grows up she'll think she spent her first year in the kitchen. ;) Thankfully, their home has awesome light. But, Katelyn, maybe we can have a play date outside this summer! :)

My first session of the year with some of my favorite clients. It had been about a year since I had last photographed Vincent and now he has a new baby brother. Nicholas was nearly a month old and was perfect. Really perfect. I couldn't believe how well he slept (I'm usually not so lucky). And when he was awake he pretty much would just hang out. There was very little crying and only one feeding. Plus, when either of those things were happening, I had Vincent to entertain me. :) Vincent is such a happy little guy. I look forward to seeing these brothers grow!

I first met Julia a little over a year ago and after the session I thought "oh I hope I get to see her again". The curls. The smile. The overall cuteness. So I was excited to be invited back this year. Julia now a year older and a big sister to little Claire. Claire as sweet and pretty as her big sister. Unfortunately, Claire was starting to come down with a cold the morning of our session, but I think she did her best. I could see a happy, smiling baby inside there -- but it's hard when you're not feeling so well. Next year we'll have sun and no colds. :) Ok, onto the photos...

This year I've had a bunch of return clients who have a new addition to the family. This is one of those awesome families. It's such a treat to see clients over (and over) again -- it's so fun to see how they've changed and grown (in lots of ways!). Meet Eli and his new baby brother Owen...

Oh my, little Audrey was so happy and the perfect little model. Just a 10-month-old but I think she has already got "it". I didn't even have to pull out any puppets, bunny ears, singing, etc. We only needed smiles. Then she would mix it up with some adorable serious faces. And all this during a mini session. She was so much fun to photograph! :)
