Where do sessions take place?
Currently I'm shooting only on location. This can include your home or another twin cities location of your choice. Think about some of your favorite places. If you aren't sure, I'd be happy to tell you about some of my favorite spots. I shoot using natural light so we'll have to keep that in mind when choosing indoor spots (just need some good windows).

How long do sessions last?
Sessions typically last 1-2 hours, with newborns sessions sometimes lasting a little longer. Sessions definitely are not rushed. There is time for kids to get comfortable and take breaks when needed.

When do you schedule sessions?
Sessions can be scheduled Monday - Sunday.

How do I schedule a session?

You can contact Krysten via email or phone.

When do I get to see the images from my session?

Your images will be available for viewing in your private online gallery within 4 weeks of your session.

When do I have to place my order?
Orders must be placed within 2 weeks of receiving your online gallery link.

When will my prints be ready?
Prints will be ready approximately 6-8 weeks after an order is placed. Specialty items such as albums and art canvas prints may require additional time. Orders will not be processed until payment is received.

Do I have to buy a print package?
No. All prints and products are available a la carte so you can order exactly what you want.

Can I purchase the digital files from my session?
Yes. After inquiries and much consideration, digital collections are now available.

When should newborn sessions be scheduled?
If possible, please try to contact me before your baby arrives. The best time to photograph a newborn is during the first 10 days. That first week goes quickly, but you'll be happy you fit the photo session in during those first 10 days.

What is a mini session?
Mini sessions are offered just a couple of times a year. A mini session is shorter in length (usually 20 minutes). They are nice if you would like new images for the holidays or to mark a certain milestone, but don't quite need a full session. Or maybe you had a full session earlier in the year and want some updated photos. Or perhaps you've been thinking about trying out Krysten Halek Photography and haven't done so yet. Whatever your situation, it's a fun way to get a little sample of what Krysten has to offer.  Email to get on the mini session mailing list and hear about future dates before everyone else.

Will you travel outside the Twin Cities?
Definitely. Please inquire about travel pricing.
